Lion

Scientific Classification

What Should You Know about Lion?
Lions are muscular, deep-chested felids with short, rounded heads, reduced necks and round ears. Of the living, non-hybrid felids, the lion is second only to the tiger in length and weight. Its skull is very similar to that of the tiger, although the frontal region is usually more depressed and flattened, with a slightly shorter postorbitalregion and broader nasal openings than that of a tiger. However, due to the amount of skull variation in the two species, usually only the structure of the lower jaw can be used as a reliable indicator of species. Lion colouration varies from light buff to silverly gray, to yellowish red and dark brown. The underparts are generally lighter and cubs are born with dark spots on their body. The spots fade as lions reach adulthood, although faint spots often may still be seen…

Big Ben

WHAT IS BIG BEN?

↳ The Houses of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower, commonly called Big Ben, are among London's most iconic landmarks and must-see London attractions. Technically, Big Ben is the name given to the massive bell inside the clock tower, which weighs more than 13 tons (13,760 kg).  The clock tower looks spectacular at night when the four clock faces are illuminated.
History
Big Ben, previously called The Clock Tower, but more popularly known as The Elizabeth Tower, was raised as a part of Charles Barry's design for the new palace, because the old palace was largely destroyed by fire on October 16th 1834.
On June 2nd 2012, The Daily Telegraph reported that 331 member of Parliament supported the proposal of changing the name from Clock Tower to Elizabeth Tower,in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on her diamond jubilee year. This makes sense because the large west tower, now known as Victoria Tower, was named in tribute to Queen Victoria on her diamond jubilee year. On June 26t…

Potatoes, Eggs, and Coffee Beans

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.
He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.
After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?”
“Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied.
“Look closer,” he said, “and touch the …

World Tournament

World tournament is an event which is held by SMAN 3 Bandung on August 24th 2017 as a refreshing day for students after going through a rough week. The theme of this event is pirate, so the students have to wear costumes that resembles pirates. This isn't just an event for fun because it also train the students' skill in English. For example, the students have to say at least one sentence to get one point. Unfortunately, there is only one person keeping eyes on approximately thirty students so she/he can't always hear every sentence you say and if it's in English or not. This makes it possible for you to say many sentences in English but you don't get any point--unless you tell them every after you say one sentence.
In this event, every two classes combined in a team, and then every class in a team should compete to be the winner of every game. There are so many games in this event, such as number and letter. In this game, every class delegate seven people to repr…

What's Your Plan?

Today I have a conversation with my friend, Adys, about our plan next holiday.

Me : "Hi, Dys! You look so happy. Tell me why!"
Adys : "Of course I am. Tomorrow is the first day of summer holiday."
Me : "Oh, right. Should've known from the start that the only thing that can make you look this happy is holiday." (grin)
Adys : (laugh) "Talk to yourself!"
Me : "Well, tell me about your plan, then."
Adys : "I'll go to South Korea and meet my sister, Somi, there. She'll accompany me to join an audition in JYP Entertainment. On the next day we will visit Namsan Tower and Han River. On the third day, we will go to the fanmeeting Wanna One. Then on the last day, we're going to MNET to watch Wanna One's Show."
Me : "Wow, sounds great! I'll pray for the best. Break a leg!"
Adys : "Thank you! I'll do my best. What about you? What will you do next holiday?"
Me : "On the first day, I'…

Oh Thank God, You Were There!

Today I'll tell you one of my kind-of-bad experience, but, you see, maybe it's not that bad.
It happened when I was in the 9th grade. I joined a seminar about writing in SMA 2 Bekasi with two of my friends after school. The seminar was great, but I'll tell you what happened when the seminar ended. The seminar ended at thirty past four and I had a course at thirty past five. Knowing that the course is far from there, I hurried. One of my friends went home first, using Grab, while I and Tiwi, my other friend, still waited my phone turning on.
I didn't know that my Grab application was in an error.

To be honest, I'm that kind of girl who overthink every single thing and get panic easily. So, those moments when I can't do anything to make things better are the worst. But actually, there's a worse thing than those moments. The worse thing than those moments is nothing but my reaction to it. I get panic easily and can't think straight.
So we stayed ther…
